Simple Data Protection Question

    I want to password protect the contents of an SD card. How do I a) password protect the card itself, or b) what encryption package would enable me to use the SD disk as a 'virtual drive' without ANY DATA DEGREDATION AT ALL to its contents. Any thoughts welcomed.
