    Greetings,

I am a newbie and I could use some step by step help on how to connect to remote desktop to my friend's network. I have the ip address of my friend's router. I press click Remote Desktop Connection What do I enter in the "Remote Desktop Connection" screen in the Computer section? Do I type the address and the port number of the router? example: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3389Please let me know. I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks for the reply dromano. I appreciate the help. I prepared my computer according to the site http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/getstarted/remoteintro.mspx

I am still stuck on how to remote desktop from my home to my friends house. It only works if I'm at my friends home when I remote desktop. What I don't get is when I am at the "Remote Desktop Connection" dialog box, I don't know what to put in the "Computer:" box. Do I type the ip address and the port number of the router (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3389/MyNetwork)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
