Sims 3 and hl-dt-st dvdrrw gca-4166b :(

Hi everyone!

I have a small problem with my dvd-rom the sims 3

it is just not read.... not appears, I can't click on anything...

hl-dt-st dvdrrw gca-4166b is my thing to read discs (sorry i'm not anglophone and I totally ignore how we call that)

I tried updating it but it doesnt work...
however, it reads cds ... just not my sims!

If you have a second to help me i'd be really grateful!

What is the surface of the disk like? Does the disk work in other computers?

 

Why do not ask them, I mean Sims 3's support?

 

This thread is three weeks old. OP has either found a solution to the problem or moved on. Either way, telling someone who came here asking for help, that they're better off asking elsewhere, isn't the most constructive way to approach the situation.
