    Hi Neuma,

Did you turn System Restore OFF? Were you able to do any of the Online Scans in the Cleanup Tutorial?

If you have exhausted the options in the Cleanup Tutorial, go ahead and send us a HijackThis Log. Please be sure to follow the instructions below:

Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.99.1) and MUST be extracted to its own safe folder – C:\Program Files\HijackThis ! Should you need a Fresh Download of HJT, get it HERE: HijackThis v1.99.1

Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

Please save your HJT Log as a .txt File and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.

I will be tied up over the weekend, but somebody will have a look.

    Best luck :)
    PP

    Hi Neuma,

I suggest removing DAP, but that is up to you!

Please print out these instructions so that you can operate with All Browser Windows CLOSED.
Please make sure System Restore is OFF and the Viewing of Hidden Files is Enabled as per the tutorial.

Now scan with HijackThis and Check the Boxes for the following:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.sailormoon.com/
If these two R0 entries are the desired settings, then leave them alone!
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = Vínculos

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {031B6D43-CBC4-46A5-8E46-CF8B407C1A33} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: Explorer Class - {962F12AE-2773-4BEB-99EA-B5C3AB9A6606} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\DSMANA~1.DLL

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft SpA Service] msapps.exe

    O16 - DPF: {9E98E84C-79E1-49C3-82EB-798FCD552EFB} - http://advnt01.com/dialer/internazionale_ver4.CAB

Again, make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    NOW:
Please boot into Safe Mode with the Viewing of Hidden Files Enabled and navigate to and DELETE the following if they should remain:

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\DSMANA~1.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\msapps.exe ---> If this is not in System32, use Windows Explorer to run a search of your machine for it.

    NEXT:
Run CWShredder as per the instructions in the Cleanup Tutorial!

    THEN:
Run CCleaner and Spybot S&D and have Spybot fix what it finds.

Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start > Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
    Temporary Files
    Temporary Internet Files
    Recycle Bin

    And Click OK.

Reboot to Normal Windows and Scan with HijackThis and attach that log.
Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and how your computer is running now. I will try to check back when time permits.

    Best luck :)

Sorry . . . Busy weekend and not bmuch free time for this forum!

That last HijackThis log is clean.

In Task Manager, can you see what process (or processes) is accounting for the CPU being at 100%? Please list them for me. I will try to check back tonight before I head out the door!

    PP :)
