Skype startup annoyance!

    whenever i start my machine, skype starts automatically even when I have unchecked the option in the tools>options. any idea how I can prevent this from happening as this is very annoying behaviour!

    Check HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run key in the registry to see if there is an entry for this program. If so, delete it. Also check your Startup folder to see if the application is in there; if so, delete it.

    Instead of playing around in the Registry, go to Start, Run and type in msconfig

    In the Startup tab, uncheck any reference to Skype.


    Unchecking the option in Tools, Options, Advanced tab should work though?
