SLI cards read backwords?

Hey Im on a x58 evga LE motherboard

I just hooked up my 480gtx in SLI and on my nvidia control panel and programs like MSI afterburner, my videocards are read backwords in the sense that:

My GPU2 card is read as my GPU1 card and my GPU1 card is read as my GPU2 card.

Benchmarks with single gpu usage says that my GPU2 usage~90% while GPU1 is 0-5%. In the nvidia control panel it shows the same thing that my monitor is hooked up to my geforce evga gtx 480(2) instead of (1).

Does anyone know what this means and why its reading that? Could the sli bridge possibly make it read wrong? It seems like my performance isn't taking a hit, i just don't understand why its reading it like that.

    Comments/suggestions? :)
