slipstreaming sp2 onto sp1

    i am trying to slipstream XP SP2 onto a XP SP1 install disc.
    i have copied the disc to c:\xp
    i have downloaded the SP2 to c:\sp2
    i followed the directions of this site:
    http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

    i keep getting an error.

    can i just drag the files to the i386 folder?
    can anybody suggest a solution?

    Yep, use this it takes the commandlines out of the equation and simplifies the process, Autostreamer

    I haven't tried autostreamer yet but one I like to use is nLite Just don't remove anything until you do a bit of research first. You'll need .NET framework 2.0 installed first to use it.

    okay, now that i got the files slipstreamed i created a cd.
    put said cd in my drive and restarted the computer.
    it didn't boot.
    how do i make it bootable?
    i tried isobuster but that app is about as user friendly as a sarkazian razor beast.

    Hi you will have had to either extract the original MS bootloader using ISOBuster then using Nero's to enable the boot loader options before burning the slipstreamed files, you cannot add the boot loader at a later time.

    Best option is still to use Autostreamer or as Augie mentions nLite to slipstream XP.
