Windows XP 2002 user here. I have used Firefox as my main browser for many years, but when I upgraded to version 6.1 a couple of weeks ago, my PC started to get really bogged down (I have a DSL connection) when surfing and websites that always worked in the past began to not load properly (bogged down, blank graphics and pictures etc). Also the last few days, when I try to maxamize a video on YouTube, the screen goes black but the audio will play (in the smaller window, the video works fine) which has never happened before.

I went back to Firefox 5, I tried Opera, Internet Explorer and even Maxthon 2.515, but nothing seems to improve the slumping performance and aforementioned issues.

I went through the READ & RUN ME FIRST STEPS and the scans came up clean except for one trojan on the Malwares Bites scan (which I quarantened and deleted)

    . . . and

while the MGtools program seemed to download OK (I got no warnings or alerts that it wasn't loading and loading properly) when I try and run the program from the MGtools.exe file, the black scanning screen onl;y appears for a split second before it dissappears and I can't file any log file in the C drive which matches the names of the log you need to have attached.

So I'm attaching the logs from the other four processes to see if there is anything more to be done.

Thanks again for your help and tutorials.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!
Please try it again now. There was a problem with the last file. I has been updated to correct the problem. Download and run the new MGtools See if it makes the MGlogs.zip file now. Thanks!

Pkease goto the below link and follow the instructions for running TDSSKiller from Kaspersky
    • Be sure to attach your log from TDSSKiller

Now please also download MBRCheck to your desktop.

See the download links under this icon [IMG]
    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.
    • Attach this log to your next message. (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post )

NOTE: You should not be saving your downloads like below to the templates folder. These are not templates. You need to delete these or move elsewhere
