Slow return from Screen Saver

    Just installed Windows 7 Ultimate and now when my screen saver is activated it takes forever (10+ seconds) to return to an active desktop.
    Any suggestions?rolleyes

    I take it this was an install on an existing system?
    What are your system specs? Make/model?

    Dell Vostro 400 and yes it was an upgrade from XP Pro.

    What are your power options set to? Are you certain it is not going into hibernation?

    Power settings are set to high performance ie "always on"

    What are your system specs? I see that it is a dell Vostro 400. But, we don't know your system specs.

    Mostly just need cpu and ram.
