    Hi you guys!

Ok, so I bought a card reader, it has the size of a
floppy device and it works (NOT) with a USB cable,
it's just not the regular USB but a MotherB USB with
    like seven legs!

Ok, so I take off the sidecover and plug in the USB
and turn on the computer, this is where the problems
    start!

Ok, so I have a female voice on startup saying
    something like:

"System completed power on self test, computer
    now booting from operating system"

Ok, so this time, after the card reader has been
pluged in, it says, "No keyboard detected"

It's a no name no brand no driver, card reader!

Ok, so I unplug the CR, and turn on the computer
again, and again and again, and the computer says
things like "No vga found" "No video found" "No IDE
found" and this is with no CR pluged in!

After about four or five boots, the computer
    works again!

Ok, so I turn off the "halt on all errors" now it's "halt
    on all errors but keyboard"

I plug in the CR again and turn on the computer, the
voice says "No keyboard detected" after that the
computer starts up in xp but with the keyboard not
    working!

I'm thinking, no problem I'll use the mouse,
but the mouse ain't working either(it uses the same USB)!

*(as I am writing the above)

Ok, so at this exact point *, the computer crashes, I just don't
know it yet cuz the screen goes black, but it does that all the
time, so I turn off and on the screen, it usually helps, but not this
    time!

I then left the house for some hours with the screen turned off to
make it cool down, but since it didn't work I pressed the reset
    button instead!

Ok, so the computer comes up with this error:

    C:\docome~1\user\config1~\temp\werbe49.dir00\mini031008
    -01.dmp
    C:\docome~1\user\config1~\temp\werbe49.dir00\sysdata.xml

    Error:
    BCCode: 100000ea BCP1: 896F24D0 BCP2: 89388EC8
    BCP3: F78BecB4 BCP4: 00000001 OSVer: 5_1_2600
    SP: 2_0 Product: 256_1

I don't know if this error has anything to do with the CR!

Notice that it says Product: 256_1, the first thing that comes to
my mind is the 256mb ram in slot one!

I have six USB's, two on a card connected to the MotherB (in the
bottom), and two directly connected to the MotherB (in the top)
And I have recently bought a double USB 2.0 pluged in to one of
    those long white slots!

Ok, so after the computer is turned on, and the keyboard and the
mouse is not working(remember?) I then tried the other five USB,
and it turns out that the two USB pluged in to the long white slot
    is working!

Ok, so you're thinking, this dude is having some serious problems,
but this is not it, keep reading...

Drive D:\ and Drive E:\ has disappeared!

Any ideas, I hope you can help!

    Thank you beforehand!

    :)

    Anyone?

Ok, so I've found out that the CR(card reader) is working, since
it was tested in another computer.

In my computer it doesn't work!!! Could it be my mobo, a P4333?

Btw. what no# in the queue am I, the last?

    :)

Sounds like you are having some problems! Can you give us a quick rundown on your computer? CPU, RAM amount and brand, drives attached, Power supply, all that stuff. What kind of drives are D and E?

As I'm not sure about the info that you need I'll add a hardware
    report!

I can add that the 256mb ram is SEITEC
and the 1024mb ram is MARKVISION

Another observation: I plugged in the CR, in one of the two mobo usb bus, with the first one nothing happend, but when I plugged it in the second(usb1), the printer usb disappeared!

I know this because I've just installed a program called usbtrace!

    It disappeared from this one:
SiS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller
    Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_7001&SUBSYS_807A1043&REV_07
    Setup Class: USB
    Class GUID: {36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
    PDO Name: \Device\NTPNP_PCI0003
    Service Name: usbohci
    Root Hub, Port 2

If it were me, I'd remove the internal card reader, return it and buy an external one. Just because one piece of hardware worked in someone else's computer is no guarantee that it will work in yours, as you've discovered.
Also from my reading, internal card readers do create problems from time to time so you might be better off with an external one in the long run.
