SMBus: IRQL Not Less or Equal

I recently just built a new computer, parts are:

Processor: AMD Athlon AM2 6400+
RAM: 2G DDR2 Corsair
VGA: nVidia 8800GT
Operating: Windows XP


Problem is .. Well, I've installed every single driver except my SMBus Chipset drivers. The dealio is, whenever I install the SMBus drivers, I can't boot into windows. It will begin loading at the splash screen, and then will give me a BSOD with the message: "IRQL Not Less or Equal."

If there's some general information that could be given to me in order to fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
