Back when I was cranking out OS/2 and Win PCs for a major corporation - I used an app I believe was named "SoftMgr".

You would run it and it would determine the state of the PC.
You would then do an install of the new software.
After the install was complete, I would run SoftMgr again and I could get a report for every change that was made (config.sys, autoexec.bat, etc.) and also a listing of every file that was added (new) or changed on the system.

Anyone ever hear of it or know of something that provides similar functionality?

Thanks in advance for any help.....
