depends on how you wanna make a card... a nice professional card of one of those homemade ones?

if you want a nice full color professional grade card there are nice online places that offer design options online. I use illustrator/photoshop to do cards and have them printed online

 

If you are running win XP you should have ms publisher on your start programs listed as Microsoft publisher.

I add to this advice with your most important need for a top of the line printer designed to handle light weight card stock by the sheet or the card and will not slip during the feed if you go with a high gloss finish.

 

Not true. Publisher is not part of Win XP; it must be purchased separately or as part of MS Office.
