Solid Blue Desktop is boring

    I recently mass downloaded updates from Microsoft. After rebooting I found two problems.
    1. My desktop theme choices are grayed out. I looked at all the threads here and followed the instructions. Theme services are grayed out and will not allow me to change. No checks are in the display properties area.

    Where do I go from here?
