solutions overload

Hello, when i go through your site i find tons of helpful information. at this point i think that i have a virus (my computer is acting weird) and i try to remedy it myself by following your directions. i am to the point to where i don't know if i am dupicating what i have already done or not. can u do too much. can u put too much on your computer and make it run slower. can u just tell me how to look for what i have and either uninstall and reinstall or what i am suppose to do. This computer remedy-ing is new to me and i am still trying to learn. thank you so much for your help. your site is a safety net to me. i am talking in terms of malware. (spy-bot, serch and destroy, virus protection, virus, worm, trojan removal....ect)
