Some sort of security malware - Help please!

Starting last night I have been plagued with some nasty malware. I am pretty sure I know what caused it, in the process of trying to get a video to work; I downloaded a codec for Windows Media Player. I know for a fact that it was bugged because AVG caught a trojan, but obviously something got through. So now here I am stuck with this spyware, I have spent the entire day trying to get rid of it because it is causing pop-ups which makes it impossible for me to use my computer.

I have noticed that in the taskbar everyonce in a while a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it will pop up saying I have some random malware and to click to fix it. It usually takes me to two sites: Pest control (or something like that, I know it is spyware because Spybot has found it but can't seem to delete it permanently) and some Anti-Vermin software.

Upon that, when I open Internet Explorer (I use Firefox) the homepage is on a specific site and I cannot get it to change the homepage, with this page is a pop-up saying I am, again, infected with some sort of malware. For reference, I have included the site: asafetynotice[dot]com

Now I have used HijackThis and I am almost positive I have found the culprit, however it will not delete. I have included a log from HijackThis, and the I believe the culprit is:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {67982BB7-0F95-44C5-92DC-E3AF3DC19D6D} - C:\Program Files\Video Access ActiveX Object\isadd.dll

Also, when I open Task Manager, I notice that Winlogon.exe is running, I thought I remembered hearing about that being some sort of malware, so in digging deeper I have found that the following processes all seem to be some sort of malware or something:

    winlogon.exe
    isamini.exe
    isamntr.exe
    pmmnt.exe
    pmsnrr.exe

I googled isamntr.exe and found that it TOO was also malware. It appears that this "codec" has brought my computer to my knees and I am desperately trying to find an answer besides formatting due to data loss.

I really hope this gives you insight into the problem and that you will be able to help me. I look forward to your response.

    Hi

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

You logs are incomplete and Hijackthis is not installed as listed in the guide below, the install location and rename are needed.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
