Yahoo (home page, group calendar, Yahoo support forum, etc) pages display all screwed up (sample scrnshot attached).
Some rich text and background colors, no pictures, photos, some links work/some dont, etc.
Yahoo logon page and old style email interface (except not calendar and contacts displays) seem to be the only pages that look normal.
One message on the group calendar... "Upcoming calendar upgrade: Yahoo! Groups calendars are being upgraded to a much improved version. You may not have access to the calendar (for up to 24 hours) when this group is upgraded. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience." ...but thats been there for weeks.
Must be blocking something with firewall ?
Same results with latest Firefox and IE7.
Other pc with IE8 gets same results.
What missing cookie, or dll, or ____ , would cause ?

It looks like the css isn't loading. Are you running anything to block ads or any kind of content filter?

    Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes, am using OA to block (*.domains) ads on the subject desktop.
Am also using the same domains with OA on laptop, but Yahoo display is fine there.
Only difference, that I am aware of, is the laptop is using IE7 (tried to install IE8 and came near to crashing the laptop) and the desktop is using IE8... also using Firefox on both and getting same different-results at each pc.
Maybe need to look at unblocking some domains at the IE8 desktop... ie CSS required for IE8 is in or linked to files from those domains ?
Not a developer, so knowledge of CSS use etc is limited.

CSS is cascading style sheets. Basically instead of including a ton of code in each page, you create a CSS then link it to each page you want to look like that. Then when you wan to make a change you make it in one place and all the pages on the site are changed.

It looks like the CSS for yahoo is at yimg.com. Check to make sure you don't have it blocked.

    yimg.com not blocked.
And, nothing has change in weeks... including my attitude toward Yahoo. :)
Laptop, with IE7 having no problem, but with latest version of FF, same Yahoo yuk.
Desktop same problem with both IE8 and FF.
Maybe 'Yahoo' is just fading ? :-o
