Some motherboards wont let you detect or control the fans, some aftermarket fans have a control of their own, until then. ed

Yea, thats normal, ear plugs are cheap, or get louder speakers so you can drown out the fan noise. Not many fix's to offer. ed

You DO have some options here... you can try to identify the noisiest fan, and replace it with a quieter one. Usually, you'd have to match the size of the noisy fan with the quieter replacement, though sometimes, you will have room to install a larger fan. As a general rule of thumb, a larger fan will run slower, and therefore, QUIETER, than a smaller fan spinning at a higher speed.

Read this article for some good basic advice:

Here are links to two websites which might help you:

Lots of good information on both of those sites...

Keep in mind, I NEVER recommend that anyone try to replace PSU fans; the danger of a serious electric shock is VERY real, and not worth the risk. At your age, I'd advise you to simply buy a new PSU for your system, one which has been designed to be quiet, if the PSU is excessively loud...

Now that you've installed Everest, you should be able to use it to check the speed of some of the fans in your system... look through the various hardware / component categories, and see if Everest can find any information about any of the system fans. If any of your case fans are attached to the motherboard headers, Everest should be able to tell you the RPM of that fan...

see thats the weird thing, all the fans are connected to my motherboard, its just that they don't show up in any program.
