sound distortion

    My sound is all very distorted (continually breaking up) - and I know it is not my speakers nor my sound card (external - creative audigy 2 NX), because I plugged them into my friends computer who had the same ext. soundcard installed, and everything played fine. I have no idea what could be wrong - any ideas?

    try removing the drivers from add\remove progs then using creatives auto update for the latest drivers,also if the card is firewire you could try installing the latest firewire drivers from your motherboard manufacturer

    have a look in device manager for any exclaimation marks ;)
