spam fighter querry

i have recently installed an excellent firewall called comodo which is free, not komodo as in the Independent Devolpment Enviroment also known as activestate.
However when i installed the spamfighter i was supprised to see a high risk alert
come up on my screen warning me of global hooks which can act as trojans.
however i decided to uninstall it because of they are several issues which are still undergoing develpment and showing up with lot of bugs too
my question what are these global hooks and how risky are they

 

thanxs i remember that next time i install it.
but at the moment it still under going develpment and they are not certain when it will be ready

sorry i meant spamfighter when i downloaded it sent an error message saying that others have received this error message

 

Big Problem outlook express acting as web page

I wounder if any one can help me!!!!!!!!?
I seem to be having trouble with outlook express recently.
firstly all the mail seems to time out when downloading.
now i just get orangetool bar displayed in my inbox and no messages.
i scanned it with webroot and came negative.
i also took out spam bully thinking that might be problem.
has any one have an idea

i removed what i thought was a the offending orangetool bar with my unistaller
but its still pops up in my email rolleyes

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

• CounterSpy
• AVG Antispyware Log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
• Bitdefender - from step 6
• Panda Scan - from step 6
• runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
• newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
• HijackThis

 

i have run all the steps that is required :- the root came up zero hence no log
the spyware also came up zero find the log enclosed
panda root killer installed but when i tried to run it it just came with some code on note pad
outlook still the same i found out that i got to enlarge it to see the post and it still takes time to download

 

there seem to be a problem with counter spy
it loads all right but when you try to dowload it it times out

i managed to get it sorted out by doing a system restore
and found out that the spam bully configured the apperaence so that the roll bar hides the messages
