Can anyone tell me about an easy, convenient to use, cheap or free spam filter for OE.
I have tried a couple but they either took ages to run, caused problems with OE or didn't do the job.
    Thanks

Jenny check out Mailwasher http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2054 I use the Pro version which costs $$ but the version above is the freeware version of the same app but with a few less functions and will only monitor 1 email account.

Jenny, have a look at PopMan from http://www.ch-software.de/popman works with POP3 accounts and you can add several different accounts to it (I currently have 2 on it)

to be honest thats the thing aLLiKZar we need to try out new/different apps out to see if they are better than what we are using already, as you found out Mailwasher is still the daddy!

Dont excuse yourself yukon.... trying new apps is what I like and if this one works as well as Mailwasher or as good as then its a keeper, we need to find apps that we feel comfortable with, have ease of use and do what they say on the box then they are in the list of great and usefull apps for all.... if they are free its a major bonus too!

I will at some point give this app a go :)

    side note:
I use office 2003 with Outlook for email. The spam filter in it is actually pretty decent. Good enough that I felt I didn't need any 3rd party apps. It's not the best, but it catches about 90% of the garbage coming in. Not bad for MS eh? ;)
