Spell Checker for OE 2.1 dictionary question

I just installed the stand alone Spell Checker for OE 2.1 by Vampirefo into Outlook Express 6. It works fairly well except I can't seem to 'teach' new words to the dictionary. I have tried the Add button in the dialog box but it doesn't seem to do anything. Can someone help me learn how to add new words to the dictionary so I don't have to keep hitting the 'skip' button? Perhaps a link to the author Vampirepo might help. I've had no luck trying to contact the author.
I run Windows XP Pro version 2002 Service Pak 2, Intel pentium 4, 2.4 Ghz,512 MB RAM
