Spooler: Failed to read description. Error code 2.

Hi Guys,

I cannot install my printer software because of the above error.

I am running Vista Ultimate. Service pack 1
32 bit operating system
Intel(r) Core(tm) i3-2120 cpu @ 3.30GHz
4.00GB ram

The printer is a Canon MP640.

When I try to look at the properties of the spooler it say "The system cannot find the specified service".
I can stop and start the service but it still comes up the Error 2 code.

Any suggestions would be great. :confused

Download [MG]Windows Repair Portable and extract the content of the zip file to somewhere convenient. Then run Repair_Windows.exe.

• Select the Start Repairs tab, then click on Start and allow it to create a restore point.
• Select repairs 24, 25 and 26.
• Reboot the PC when it's finished.
