I have had a new problem with my computer starting to die slowly. I thought it was to a new NVIDIA video driver i added (althought it is a cretified driver not a beta). I have backed it out and still a problem. So I opened task manager right after reboot and started watching what uses CPU time. I noticed that teatimer was useing 1% - 2%. I also noticed it was growing in size. It started arround 4 meg of memory after about half an hour it was over 92 MEG of main memory and still growing. I rebooted my system and when it restarted I exited the resident portion of spybot S&D. Any idea about this???

Many people had problems in the past with using Spybot's Teatimer. They had the same problem you are seeing. What version of Spybot are you using and what detection updates do you have?

Personally I (and many others) do not use TeaTimer.

I am using 1.3 R3 - I don't know what it means to not use the teatimer. Also I booted today and notices that the resident spybot was back but the teatimer was not growing above 4'is meg.

Open Spybot. Click on Tools. Click on Resident. Uncheck Tea Timer. Close Spybot.
