Spybot update question

I'm not sure if my spybot is working properly cause when I tried auto update it said there weren't any new updates, but I know there is a new set of updates that just came out. So I download the most recent spybot update, double clicked it and, is that it? Is it updated now and is there some way to check inside spybot to see if the update installed OK, like does it say somewhere what's the date of the last updates installed (like it does in MS antispyware?)??

I don't know why it says it downloaded the update on apr9/05 because it never did. It stopped almost immediately and said there were no updates to install!

 

Thanks Star17, I gotcha. But those entries didn't update when an update was SUPPOSED to be available. It kept telling me 'no update available' or whatever, and I had to manually download from here, at MG, and do it that way, which I'm still not sure if it worked. How do I know if I'm up to date with this thing?

 

My log shows my last update was 2/5/05, and today when I went to update it said there were no newer updates available. Help/About said (and still says) "Last detection update 2005-01-28", even after manually downloading and running an update from the MG Spyware Tools page just now.

 

Did I do it right? I downloaded to my desktop and then double clicked it and rebooted.

I can't get any mirrors except one (Eon australia) to pull down from the list of mirrors. Maybe my internet connection is being blocked.

 

I was under the impression that 1.3.1tx was just some kind of update to 1.3. The file spybotsd131tx.exe is only 1.35MB. My Help/About page says version 1.3, and it is from the same 1.3 installer currently available on the Spyware Tools page.

Newsflash-- same here -- only one download site-- EON.

Hey Star17, the updates worked for me too, but after all that, there's apparently a new version 1.4

Does this mean that version 1.3.1tx is obsolete now after we just updated it? I don't know whether or not to uninstall 1.3.1tx and install 1.4 or just leave 1.3.1tx alone and just keep doing updates for it. Do you know what's happening?
