spyware and adware taking over?

    Hey everybody! im new here but so far i have found this site and the people to be a big help. But i have a problem, my computer has been running fine up until today i logged on and for no reason there was 3 new icons installed on my desktop im pretty sure i got rid of 2 of them but 1 i cannot seem to get its called "my daily horoscope", and i keep gettin rediculous amounts of popup windows from one site when im not even on the net i think its 680180.net does anybody know how to help me get rid of these problems? iv run ad-aware 6.0 and also gotten rid of my homepage hijack with the hsrremove program but these seem to be a little tougher to get rid of. any advice is appreciated.

    Next time you log in here, tell us your Operating System, how you connect to the internet, what Anti-virus, firewall you use, whether you have Internet Explorer, Mozilla, etc. - anything else like that.

    Then you'll get some replies from others.

    First place people often forget to check... Add\Remove programs. Look for entries you did not install. These can typically be toolbars, shopping services, etc.

    I would check your startup as well for anything out of place because often times these programs are executed on startup as an exe file, for example.
