So I've been trying to get rid of this thing for a few days now and haven't been very successful overall. I got rid of some of the stuff it brought but the fake virus scanner keeps popping up a long with a slough of fake error messages and the inability to run any other anti-virus/malware program. I've tried the malware removal guide but cant run any of the tools, and I've tried disabling TDSSserv.sys in the control panel but no such driver exists. I'm at my wits end here.:confused

I know you indicated you have tried some of the below, but see the notes and additional info and try again. Also remember to try safe mode and also renaming files. You need to be very clear on explaining what you can and cannot do. For example, download the files, installing the programs, and running the actual scans are 3 distinct phases and you need to tell us exactly which pieces you can and cannot do for ALL of the tools we ask you to run.

Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Ok, thanks for your reply.

I was able to complete the entire read and run me first but when it came to the actual cleaning I had issues with all of it. (Even with renames and not being on the desktop)

Super AntiSpyware wasn't able to install beacuse I previously tried using it but didn't have any luck, so I uninstalled it but now it wont reinstall saying it already exists and when I attempt to uninstall -That- version it says 'the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable' (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wise Installation Wizard\)

Spybot was able to instal but when I click it I get an hourglass icon for a cursor for about 5 or 6 seconds then nothing happens

Same issues with MB, except the hour glass only lasts for about half a second

ComboFix wont install beacuse AVG is still on my system but I can't uninstall on account of an error message saying 'Local machine: installation failed
    Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avgemc.exe: creating backup....
    Error 0x80070002 %DESTINATION% = "C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgemc.exe.install_backup_1", %SOURCE% = "C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgemc.exe"

    Here's the MGtools log.

Had you tried to run any scans in safe boot mode?

    What is the below?
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Eamonn] C:\Program Files\Eamonn\bin\Eamonn.exe -h

Please delete the below file. MGtools does not belong in this folder. And it should be named mgtools.exe Anywhere else or with any other name, it may be considered malware.
    C:\Firefox Downloads\mgtols.exe

I strongly advise you to cleanup your Desktop. Remove eveything but links to run programs. Do not download and save programs here and defintely do not use it for long term storage. You need to keep ComboFix.exe here for now as we need it, but we will be removing it when we are finished with your cleanup. A cluttered Desktop is malware's playground and it can also cause performance degradation especially when you start saving large files here like you are doing.

Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now reboot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete the below files:
    C:\DealioAu.log
    C:\WINDOWS\svcho.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\sysguard.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\syssvc.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\CF6991.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\iehelper.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\senekalog.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\seneka.sys
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\senekajwywcoyk.sys

Now reboot back into normal mode and see if you can uninstall the below software:
IBM 32-bit Runtime Environment for Java 2, v1.4.2
    Dealio Toolbar 3.4 <-- Malware!!
    Java(TM) 6 Update 4
    Java(TM) 6 Update 6
Messenger Plus! 3 <-- we strongle advise not using this as stated in step 1 of the READ ME
Messenger Plus! Live <-- we strongle advise not using this as stated in step 1 of the READ ME
    Search Settings 1.2 <-- Malware!!

Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Now retry running the below scans
    • SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Malwarebytes
    • Spybot
    • ComboFix
Now delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
    C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\Local Settings\Temp

Now run Ccleaner to clean only temp files!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • SUPERAntiSpyware log
    • Malwarebytes log
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thanks. I should mention before following these steps I went into safe mode and ran an out of date version of MB and cleaned whatever it found.

Eamonn is Jact's 3rd party program that monitors all the points on accrues while playing games. As far as I can tell the program itself is clean and I've already received prizes from jact itself.

I was successfully able to follow the guide all the way up to the virus scans where I keep getting the same issues mentioned before in the thread. And whenever I go into safe mode I can't update since for some reason I have no access to the internet (this is a recent issue).

You need to follow the instructions in my previous message and then report back.

I've followed the instruction twice now and have the same results when it comes to not bieng able to run any anti-virus. I was however unable to find sysguard.exe, iehelper.dll, senekalog.dat, seneka.sys, and senekajwycoyk.sys.

You have already attached the MGlogs.zip file once before. Are you saying you can no longer run it after following my previous instructions?

Right. Seems like the majority of my problems are coming from something called google installer.

According to your logs, AVG8 is still installed so what did you mean by you were able to remove AVG.

You did not uninstall Messenger Plus. Are you deciding you with to keep this even though it may have been responsible for some of your infections?

You do not have your PC in Normal Startup mode as requested in step 1 of the READ & RUN ME, you appear to be using something to control startups but it is not MSconfig. Are you using CCleaner or something else to control startups.

In my first message, I mentioned disabling TDSSserv. Did you not see this or did you miss following those instructions. Your log from MBAM shows that this rootkit was present. If you did look, and it was not found, it is important for us to know because it could be using a new name.

Delete the below files if they still exist. ComboFix may have already deleted the first one:
    C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\dpqwxtkr.job
    C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\GoogleUpdateTaskUserS-1-5-21-1229272821-1326574676-839522115-1003.job
    C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\CF6994.exe

You did not empty the below two folders as requested last time. Do this now:
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\Local Settings\Temp

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O4 - HKCU\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [svcho] C:\WINDOWS\svcho.exe
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.att.net
    O15 - Trusted Zone: http://*.att.net
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.sbcglobal.net
    O15 - Trusted Zone: http://*.sbcglobal.net

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below log:
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Yeah, I'm keeping Plus for the moment. Had it for awhile and I received the virus(es) from visiting a website. I was using the CCleaner start up but am now back on Normal. The first time I looked under the device manager I couldn't find TDSServ and its still not appearing.

I couldn't find O4 - HKCU\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [svcho] C:\WINDOWS\svcho.exe. But I think something similiar was deleted during one of the anti-virus scans.

I did recieve a successful message from the registry addition.

Other then that everything seems to be running normally.

    You're logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
