SpywareGuard 2.2 versus Spyware Guard 2008 & 2009

    I see SpywareGuard 2.2 touted as a good free real-time antimalware app that makes a great compliment to SpywareBlaster. But can anyone confirm that for me, and that it's definitely a different app than Spyware Guard 2008 & 2009? It had better be, because the latter is said to actually be a sophisticated rogue antispyware. Check these links out:

    First you really should read this: How to Protect yourself from malware!

    Valid program but read the sticky link above and you will see it is not recommended anymore.

    As you suspected, these are not the same program as SpywareGuard.

    I've read and acted on it already (for the umpteenth time)!
    I guess what I really meant is this: has anyone actually tried it, so that they KNOW it's not a rogue antimalware?
    Well then, can you recommend a good CURRENT free real-time antimalware app?

    As stated, it is a valid program. It is just too old and out of date.

    They are all in the link already given How to Protect yourself from malware!

    Also note the current versions of Avira, Avast, AVG, and Comodo already have antispyware protection built-in. This is also in the How to protect.... thread.
