Stalling Optical Drive

    Hey guys,

    What do you think of an Asus 50Xmax Optical CD drive that stalls every 20 min. when I'm playing a certain game.

    See what happens is I'm playing a game, and when the landscape changes considerably, everything stops for a second the CD spins and then everything moves real fast as it gets back to normal.

    Can this be solved by getting another optical drive?

    I wouldnt think the cd-rom has any bearing on that, list your spec's on the video card, cpu and ram. ed
