i have an ASUS G73 i7 processor and Win 7. I've had it for a year or so. This week it has started to go throught the following at start up

on a black screen with with letters:

    Intel UNDI, PXE 2.1 ( build 082)
    copyright (c) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller V2.00 (3/03/09)
    Client MAC ADDR 485B398B5564
    GUID F23281DF-6F1A-AB^*-A900-485B398B5564
    DHCP ....
Theen there is a spinner that indexes right and leaves a dot behind. Approx 20 times. There is a flash message something about ROM then it starts up Windows. This whole thing takes about 4 minutes. It doesn't appear to be hurting any thing, but is very frustrating. Anyone have any ideas how I stop this sequence? - Thanx Garth

Your laptop is trying to boot from a network connection before it boots from your hard drive. Open your BIOS and move the LAN boot option below the hard drive in your boot order list.
