Sticky and Running Keyboard

I have an MPC laptop, and the Keyboard will stick (ie won't register keystrokes), and then it may register Multiple Keystrokes.

Does this sound like a virus or a hardware problem?

Defently a Hardware problem.
Well...maybe a spyware problem.
