    Hello,

I have this strange problem on my computer since today. A window that shows Geekbuddy logo says "Error could not update dialog", only option I have is clicking Ok. Then the same windows appears again, again, again, ad nauseam.

I am not using Geekbuddy and never used it. However it comes bundled with Comodo and am forced to keep it installed.

This symptom looks like malware but no way to be sure. Quickly read elsewhere that this might be related to malware activity, but hey, I prefer leaving it to profesisonals like you guys.

I have performed requested logs, however, the instructions did not say wether to perform or not the cleaning with RogueKiller, in doubt, I just posted the log without taking any actions.

    Thank you for your attention.

And that is what the instructions really requested. They just say run a scan and attach the log. And in the early instructions of the READ & RUN ME, it states not to do anything we don't ask you to do. ;)

Besides Comodo Dragon, What did you install from Comodo? Was it the whole internet security suite or just the firewall?

Guess I am juste a bad reader hehe, didn't mean it as a reproach though. :)

I have comodo firewall, comodo dragon and that geek buddy thing.

The firewall is was I really use.

Though I don't use Comodo Dragon, it was just bundled with the software,

Never had trouble with Comodo before.

Okay so what happens if you uninstall Comodo Dragon and the Comodo Geek Buddy?

Last time I tried to uninstall geekbuddy, my firewall automatically goes down the drain as well. Never tried to uninstall dragon though.

Nothing you are mentioning here are malware issues and I may have to send you off to the Software Forum. But my suggestion is to uninstall ALL of the Comodo software packages ( Dragon, Geekbuddy, and Internet Security ). Then reboot.

After reboot, download and install this >> Comodo Personal Firewall
If prompted about installing any kind of extras ( including Geekbuddy ) say no.

Hello, I am happy to hear my problem is due to a software conflict and not malware. I have unistalled and reinstalled Comodo as instructed, and this time, neither Geekbuddy or comodo dragon have been installed with it.

    Thanks for your help.

    You're welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. Go back to step 6 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
