Still trying to remove spyware

    Hello,

    I've been trying unsuccessfully to remove some spyware that a co-worker unknowingly downloaded on my computer about a month ago. The popups are driving me crazy! I've already ran TrojanHunter, Spybot, AdAware, AVG, and my Symantic antivirus programs. Spybot was the only thing that picked up anything (Casalemedia on two different occasions).

    The popups are one thing, but it's also killing my quick link buttons in Internet Explorer and deleting the address bar in IE as well. Not sure what else to do, so I ran hijackthis and decided to post here.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    My computer's specs:
    Running Windows XP Professional Version 2002, SP2. I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 Mobel Intel Pentium 4 - M CPU 2.20GHz. 1.18GHz, 384 MB of RAM.

    My hijackthis log is attached.

    If you have not followed our 1st steps guide posted below to help remove malware then please do.....


    Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis


    When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
    • Bitdefender
    • Panda Scan
    • HijackThis
