Strange pauses, especially noticable with typing.

Yesterday whilst browsing forums and using msn I noticed that every couple of seconds typing would lag behind for a moment. This never happened before and so I ran a number of scans. Panda active scan found a trojan and removed it, but, the problem persisted.

I then found this forum and went through the windows cp cleaning procedure.

Nothing was found in the first few steps, but, I was hoping someone could go over the other logs and tell me if anything is there.

    Thanks a lot.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

There is nothing in any of your logs that indicates a problem.
    • Is this still happening?
    • Does it happen all the time?
    • What if you do not connect to the internet and have no browsers open?
    • When it is happening do you notice any application using more CPU time?
    • What happens if you shutdown AVG Antispyware and Avast?
    • Does it happen in safe boot mode?
Please run this Running GMER to detect rootkits and attach the requested log.

It is still happening, especially in msn. I also noticed that when it happens in msn my mouse seems to pass under the open window if I move over it.

It does happen all the time.

It happens with browsers closed, but, I've not had it happen whilst I've been offline.

I tried checking for CPU spikes, but, I'm not noticed anything major.

It happens when AVG and Avast are closed.

I've not had it happen whilst I've been offline, that includes safemode.

    Thanks.

Your GMER log is also clean.

What do you mean by "in msn"? Are you referring to when you login or connect to MSN? Are your referring to an MSN browser?

But does it happen after a reboot where you have not connected to the internet at all and have not opened up any browsers like IE, MSN, FireFox...etc.

What do you mean by offline? Are you on dial-up?

By "in msn" I mean when I'm talking in an msn conversation window.

I've tried to make it happen when I've just rebooted and I'm offline, but, it's not happened.

By offline I mean that I've disabled my connection so I don't connect to the internet automatically.

You need to answer all of m questions in my last message and answer the specifics.

Is this a browser or are you referring to an instant messenger? Why do you need to use MSN to connect to the internet.

I really think you should just post in the Software Forum because based on your logs, there is no malware.
