I just started getting a popup that labels its self as "Windows Internet Explorer" as the program name (nothing in the windows toolbar or system tray) and says "Cannot find "http:///". Please make sure the path or Internet address is correct." and everytime i click out of it it comes back a few seconds later. Also, when Windows boots up a black command prompt screen flashes and seems to run a line or two of command, but it goes to fast to see what it is doing. I'm in the process of downloading all the tools and creating logs etc. But I just wanted to know if anyone had seen this and had a quick fix. I ran ad-aware with updated definitions and am currently scanning my computer with symantec. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

here is a screenshot of the pop up....looks to be just a VB program that reruns everytime I quit it, spyware killers arent picking it up.

Problems with IE7 would best be handled in the software section ...assuming you wish to pursue using it....:)
