Sttray.exe Entry Point Not Found

Hi,

Getting this error message when I start my computer:

The procedure entry point LocalizeString could not be located in the dynamic link library STLang.dll.

If someone could explain in plain English how to remove this message, I would much appreciate it. I have been here before but...am still a newbie.

Hi my friend , you have to uninstall audio driver using

http://majorgeeks.com/Driver_Sweeper_d6171.html

running it in normal mode
restart your machine even doing the same movement in safe mode

afterwards re install your audio drivers again

or you must go to

Start
Run command typing msconfig
navigating to startup tab disabling sttray.exe

try it !! :wave

 

If your computer is a Dell and you have Sigmatel hardware (audio), this should be the directions

I tried unchecking the box in fron of the sstray.exe in msconfig and I think it worked!

It's an old Dell from around 2005 or so...
