Stuck Pixel on LCD

    ok, so I have an LCD monitor that has 1 dead pixel, right in the center of the screen. It's white and very annoying :-D

    I've tried the tapping fix, didn't work. I've tried re-powering the monitor with a bit of pressure applied to the pixel, no luck. I've tried using the warm cloth & pressure technique, still nothing.

    I'm currently trying the software fix UDPixel, and it does not seem to be working after 30 minutes of flashing the pixel.

    Does anyone have any other little tricks to try? I'm running out of ideas :(

    Sadly a lot of those fixes are snake oil and once a pixel is dead and stays dead then your sadly out of luck. At times they may right themselves or one of those "fixes" may just surprisingly work.

    I hope the pixel rights itself as nothing worse as I have one on one monitor, luckily its not in the middle, but none of those methods worked as I though one day what the hell. I'd try those methods over a few days and never know.

    Sadly if your don't have a fair few dead pixels, LCD makers will not replace the unit.

    Yes thats what I was reading unfortunately. I figured I would post here and see if any of the minds here had discovered one of those "by accident" fixes or new any little tricks I couldn't find.

    UDPixel did get the pixel working after a 3 hour flashing session on the pixel, but it still gets stuck for 5-15 minutes about every hour or so.

    I can deal with it for now 1 pixel isnt that bad i suppose. I didn't even notice it until I was scanning for artifacts on a GPU OC earlier, and I swore i it was an artifact for a while and had to exit the program to make sure, and even removed the GPU, and tried other PC's to make sure it was definately the pixel :-D
