success at recompile kernel for debian woody

    Hi everybody! Someone GAVE me a ThinkPad 385 ED. Talk about sweet. Anyway, why now get rowdy and try to recompile?

    It worked, thanks to the best tutorial ever written. I'm talking about of course this one:

    this has to do with a "debian" way of recompiling the kernel. It is so awesome. It is so easy that even newbies such as myself can do it.

    The new kernel is only 648 kB, BTW. See, its a stand alone computer, no need for PPP and such....
