Sudden Appearance Restricted Access

Got the dread "run this program with restricted access" nonsense after recovering from a Windows XP 64 crash.

It only occurs on a seemingly unrelated selection of programs such as Snagit and Sound Forge and a few others.

The programs will not run at all except as Administrator and would only run in Administrator after I added a password to my Administrator account.

The Administrator account is the only account on the computer, I am always logged in as Admin ... can't figure out what is going on but it is extremely annoying to have to right click programs, click on administrator and enter a password just to open them.

Can anyone help?
