sun java wont work in firefox

well the title says it


when i need a java for anything in mozilla firefox
it says i need to install a missing plug in
then can't find any
but once it said that sun java was avail.
so I downloaded it

the thing is I allrady have it

I have removed all javavm relations and blah blah
a long time ago and installed sunjava

so it wont installl becauser i already have it
so i uninstall it reinstall it
and still
nothng

any suggestions?

 

I'm not sure what version of Java your running, but uninstall the one you have. Go here http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows.html, scroll down to the java plugin and follow the instructions.

Just did it 2 nights ago on another computer and it worked fine.

What version of Firefox? I have 1.0PR and no java problems.

Try going to www.java.com from Firefox, then click on Get Java Now, this should give you what you need.

 

I got it. .
I removaed sun java
reinstalled the javavm cram
then uninstalled it
and reinstalled sun. . .
(might not have needed to go through all the trouble, but it worked )
