I have an old Emachines t3624 which I don't use anymore but its power supply is still good. It's better than the one in my Compaq Presario SR1318NX.

Can I switch the two of them. They're both ATX. Will it work?

    Thanks

Yes. As long as they have the same physical dimensions and mounting holes, it will be fine.

Careful, do both power supplies have all the same leads?

I mean in particular do all the ways in the 20(24) pin connector have wires attached or there one not used in one of the supplies?
