Hi I am currently on a windows vista beta2 pc, and im thinking of switching to Mac OS X, but I have some questions.

My pc isnt a iMac, iBook, or any Apple pc. It is a toshiba satellite m45.

Can I just buy the OS X cd and stick it in and install it? or do I have to do anything else.

Will I have to format my HDD? Please tell me so I can backup my music and important files.

If you need my DxDiag View attachment DxDiag.txt Thats it.

Thanks in advanced and please help me:)

(PS) I dont know if this is the right section please move it if its wrong.

You will need to replace your current laptop with an Apple computer. OSX will run only on an Apple computer. If you buy OSX for that Toshiba, you will be wasting your money.
