   have a computer that will pull up any site that i can think of including norton.com
   yet when trying to go anywhere within the site and it redirects to any page that has symantec in the url, i get page can not be displayed. absolutely can not type in symantec.com get same page can not be displayed.

   That is odd. My first thought is to make sure symatec.com is not listed in your hosts file. More on the hosts file here:
