Symantic User Error

    I keep getting a message that Symantic User Session has encountered a problem and needs to close. I understand this is from Norton AV?
    Problem is I use Kaspersky. I recently had to restore my computer from the Windows XP disk. I was trying to find the drivers I needed and since this is a custom made PC there was no restore disk or disk that were labeled drivers. I loaded a CD that had "Bonus Application software" and it does say Norton AV on it. I was sure I didn't check the box to install it. It doesn't show anywhere in my control panel under add/remove software.
    Obviously there is something hidden somewhere and I can't find it.

    Any suggestions?
