system configuration utility issue

    hey guys,

    im working on a laptop temporarily and decided to check msconfig, i noticed in the 'startup' tab that there were 3 lines that were just blocks, as if the font style didn't have a version of that particular letter so it just converts it into a square. make sense? does anybody know what may cause this and how i can fix it?

    just an update. i ran the laptops anti-virus(avg), ccleaner, and hijack this and didn't come across anything, though i'm not very savvy in reading the hijackthis log
