System Restor Question in XP Pro

    I have a question that may in fact be...a stupid one. I am pretty sure that this is not possible at all but I was simply wondering if there was any way that I would be able to do a system restore on a machine that is running XP Pro but with a twist. I was wondering if I could do the system restore but yet keep only a few programs that were added by the user. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

    Sounds like you mean system recovery.

    The short answer is, no, not unless the OEM has built in such a feature into its recovery process.

    With the retail media, its a definite no.
