Hi guy's i am having a little problem with my computer. I read similar threads but none that can solve my problem. :-o

First the problem started with the audio i couldn't get the volume to work on my pc

so then i went ahead and deleted and reinstalled the driver for my audio device that fixed the problem.

Second when i tried using system restore it would not work, so i figured why don't i just go on safe mode and try to see if it'll work threw there and it did
but i guess it shouldn't be that way.

Third my computer froze on me today and shut off by itself (blue screen with white letters) so happens a friend told me about this website so here i am hopefully someone can help me out.

Another thing on my taskbar where my programs and clock shows it will not hide itself when the program is not in use i did right click it and went to properties to have made sure i check the enable hide programs not in use and it is checked but still does not not hide my programs.

I already read the read and run me first maleware removal and did all the steps recommended, i have the logs already saved so if i can get somebodys little bit of time i will greatly appreciate it.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

We really need the requested log from MGtools to continue; however your problems did not sound like malware. The fact that none of the logs posted thus far show any malware, also agrees with that assessment. So the MGtools log is probably not going to show any real malware problems. You would be better off posting in the Software Forum; however you did state the System Restore works in safe mode. Does that mean you have actually performed a System Restore?

Hi and thankyou, ok im sorry about that i just inserted the mgtools log file so here you go.

Yes i have done a system restore before i came to this forum under safe mode , but when i am regularly signed in i can not, i tried doing it today again and it would not let me.

Okay then you should post in the Software Forum because your problem is not due to malware.

Just say yes and continue. Full final cleanup instructions are below for your reference.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
