Well, i downloaded something by accident, and then my anti-virus popped up and said it was a trojan. so i selected clean all and exited it. The file was never saved on comp, so i figured, no damage. Now theres two icons in my system tray that continuesly have pop ups that lead to more viruses. i have screen shots of it all, coming. About every 2 minutes a pop up pops up prompting me that i have viruses, and i need to click it to get the virus scanned and removed or what ever. But it just leads to a fake scanner, that prompts me to download another scanner, which triggers my anti-virus and says its a tool. Ive done a quick scan and a complete scan with Windows OneCare and nothing was found. Please Help!:(

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

      Notes:
    • If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
Starting your computer in Safe mode
    • If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

Heres the process, which in the end was successful.

#1 SUPERAnti-Spyware and it ended with 24 virus/malware/infections. Two of which were the system tray viruses i knew about. I went on to the step to remove them and it did so. Then rebooted comp. Everything was good. I opened internet and almost right away i got a pop up from OneCare promting me of a trojan. And before I knew it the virus was back. I ran the program again, and it did all the same things. It found all the same viruses, and they came back when i opened IE.

#2 SpyBot did nothing. It found the said viruses, but did not remove them when i clicked remove.

#3 Malware Bytes worked. It was fast, and efficiant. I have attached two logs from this because i wasnt sure if the problem would remain after the first scan. so i ran two. But the second scan was clear.

#4 I ran MGtools as well just as a further analasys. I have attached the logs from this too.

Thanx guys. Is there a way to avoid the "vundo" "virtumonde" virus is the future? because when i got it, One Care caught it, but did not stop it from infecting itself into the computer, even when i clicked 'Clean All'.

Your logs are clean...as to how it got infected is any ones guess, though the usual culprits are P2P software, web sites, downloads and attachments.
