System wont post with extra stick sdram

    My friend has a p4 1.66Ghz intel mb.
    He recently added 128 mb sdram,hence the system wont post.
    Removing the extra stick makes it work fine.
    Both the sticks are on sdram.
    The MB manual says we have to install the AGP card only after the RAM,we did not follow that method,could this be the cause?

    No this is not the cause. There is no mandatory order to adding memory.

    You say that you have added 128Mb of SDRam. Most problems with RAM is due to mixing ram from different manufacturers and also mismatching speeds.

    I take it that your pc works fine with each individual stick of ram.

    You may be right,I will try to get the stuff exchanged from the dealer.

    He had bought a pc266 RAM and his old intel mb did not suport it.We went to exchange the stuff but the guy doesnt even keep those old models anymore,we got the money back,we are hunting for the old pc133 sdram.
