TB and Gmail issues...should be easy to solve.

I'm sorry if this was posted before, but I'm on limited dial-up time and don't have the time to do a thorough search.

Here's the problem. When I'm on GMail.com, every email that I SEND goes to my inbox in TB when I start it up. I really don't want that. It just wastes my precious time online downloading all of them. Yet, I looked at Gmail and TB options and I can't find a way to stop it. How do I stop sending a copy of my sent mail to my TB inbox?

Also, I need to change my smtp-server settings in TB because I'm trying to use my Sprint Cell phone as a modem. My main email address is Road Runner so I'm told that I still use the same pop-server address for RR, but I need to change the smtp server to Sprint.com. But I can't find the menu to do this in TB.

Please help if you can. Thanks so much!

I can't answer the "GMail" question but on changing the smpt-server settings you should be able to do so by:

    Tools > Account settings

You should now see a dialog with a window on the left showing all of the accounts. At the very bottom will be "Outgoing server (SMPT)". Try clicking on that.

Thanks. Although changing the SMPT allows me to enter a username, but not a password even though "username and password" is checked. Do you know how to enter a password? My password for Sprint is different than my one for Road Runner....

Sorry for the delay... managed to trash FF along with a couple of other apps. Anyway, did you try unchecking your user name & PW? Then it may let you change them. I can't say for sure 'cause I only have one smtp. Maybe you should try adding a second account.

Have you tried asking this question in the Networking forum. You might get some replies from way more knowlegable folks than me.

Hey, no worries. I actually figured out how to sent through pop.gmail.com, but then it wouldn't let me receive my mail for some reason. So I'm just dealing with it and going online at Gmail to send. It stinks, but I've tried so many things...

    Thanks anyway!!

Wish I could be of more help. Couldn't find any at Mozilla?
